Using Login Screen

The login screen is used to grant access to various functions of the calendar that may be password protected such as adding, editing or deleting events, creating new calendars or new users.

Select a user id from the dropdown box labeled UserID, enter your password in the Password box and press the Next button to continue. Press the Cancel button to return to the previous screen.

You may wish to not have all user id's appear in the dropdown box (for security reasons). To cause a text edit box to appear instead of the drop down box you may set the nologindropdown item in the OPTIONS group in the Calendar Configuration File.

Passwords are case sensitive. You may create new user ids by asking the calendar administrator to add you as a new user or by accessing the External User Edit screen.

Possible Errors:

Incorrect password - you typed in a blank or incorrect password for the user selected in the UserID dropdown box. Re-enter the password. Passwords are case sensitive.

User Deleted: the userid you are trying to log in as has been deleted by the administrator of this calendar. Press the Continue button to return to the previous screen. The user id dropdown list will be reset.

User Unknown: the userid is unknown. The calendar administrator may have removed this user from the system. Press the Continue button to return to the previous screen. The user id dropdown list will be reset.
